Overview

One School. One Journey. One Hundred Years.

For a century, Achimota School has shaped the minds, values, and leadership of Ghana. Its motto and its anthem have always pointed beyond its own gates, to a nation. “From Gambaga to Accra, from Wiawso to Keta” is not just a lyric Akoras learned at assembly; it is a map. In January 2027, as the school marks its Centenary, that map becomes a real road.

“The Centenary is not simply a celebration. It is a journey across Ghana, a journey of heritage, pride, unity, and purpose.”

The “Gambaga to Accra Heritage Journey” is the flagship of the Achimota School Centenary Tours: a 7-day, 6-night expedition retracing the northern arc of the anthem's route. Organized by Elysium Tours in partnership with the Old Achimotan Association (OAA), it brings together alumni, families, and friends of Achimota for a shared pilgrimage of memory, culture, and fundraising.
